Diamond Pistons

Since 1968, Diamond Racing has been producing the highest quality racing parts around. From the early 70's Diamond has been concentrating on manufacturing forged pistons for the racing industry. In the 70's, 80's and early 90's Diamond Racing was known for its championship winning engines and its custom forged racing pistons. From the late 90's to current day Diamond has solely dedicated itself to manufacturing forged pistons. With this being said, Diamond has updated all of its machinery so we can offer our customers the state of the industry in machining.

Trend Performance

Until 1993, meaningful research into valve train testing was not possible. It was only when the first SpinTron emerged, a revolutionary new valve-train test machine, that profound inadequacies in pushrod design were revealed. The amount of column deflection of the conventional thin-wall 5/16in diameter pushrods, and the lofting of the flat tappets as they became airborne while traveling over the nose of the camshaft lobes, amazed SpinTron creator Bob Fox and his collaborator the late Randy Dorton, tuning wizard at Hendrick Motorsports. Pushrod design was about to change irrevocably. Fox had established his pushrod company, Trend Performance, in Warren, Michigan, in 1988, after having worked as a tech representative on the phones at nearby Diamond Racing. While at Diamond he became aware of troubling quality issues in pushrod manufacture: pushrod lengths varied and their ends failed—both ends.

Speedflow’s range of fittings are unique and innovative in design with strong full flow Hose Ends and Adapters which are not made the conventional way by brazing but are bent in specialized equipment to produce a compact solid one piece bend.
These bends are as low and strong as forged fittings but with the advantage of a swept full flow bend.
