Spintron
The in-house Spintron is the large 75 hp model capable of spinning engines up to 12,000 RPM. It has many modes of testing, the most useful ones being;
- Valve Train Dynamics; Using the laser valve tracking system it is possible to see and measure valve bounce, lofting, spring harmonics & pushrod deflection.
- Valve Train Endurance; The Spintron can accept an RPM trace from a data acquisition system and replicate that file or ‘lap’ as many times as required.
- Component testing; The Spintron can be used to test the performance of many bolt on components such as oil pumps, power steer pumps, fuel pumps, timing sets, all the while measuring parameters such at oil/fuel flow, pressures, and horsepower drag at varying RPMs.
