Tremaniac Racing Dominate Pro Stock
Hard work and dedication paid off for brothers Tyronne and Aaron Tremayne at this year’s Winternationals as the pair meet for the fifth time in a final with Aaron taking the win when Tyronne red lighted with a -.001 reaction time.
“We were extremely busy” said Kerry “ our parts for our engines arrived two days before the warm-ups. Then the tail gate loader decided to give us a hard time and to top it off it rained on Saturday hence no data for the winters”
After qualifying on Saturday Tyronne bumped his car into second place with a 6.970 and Aaron was 4th with a 6.975. The highlight of eliminations, Aaron in round 2 goes 196.82 to set a new national record for speed and in the semis when he run Lee Bektash as both of them established the first side by side six second run in Australia. Aaron mentioned after the run that he knew it was anybody’s race “lee is driving extremely well” he said “and with crew chief Tommi Laine’s knowledge and expertise they will be the team to beat”.
Tyronne was not to be outdone when in the semis he resets the speed record at 196.85 taking off his brother.
Finals time, the air is better and the team is hoping for record passes, but the track goes off Tyronne still runs a stout 6.966 at 196.56 while Aaron gets loose and only manages a 7.01 pass, still taking the win courtesy of Tyronne’s .001 red light.
Kerry mentions “We are over the moon, this is the best win we ever had, the boys in the final at the winters it doesn’t get any better than that. Tyronne has a new national record to boot courtesy of the 196.85 mph pass in the semis. We are an all Australian team, full credit has to go to Aaron for his engine building skills (remember we manufacture, build and run own cylinder heads on our engines) and his prowess as a driver and crew chief is without question.
