Eventful X - Champs for Tremaniac Racing

A weekend filled with highs and lows and the team were kept extra busy on Sunday explains Kerry.

What a way to start the meeting with Aaron qualifying in number one spot with a 7.006 pass and Tyronne number 2 with a 7.036 pass, but this was all about to change.

First round of racing saw Aaron out first against Anthony Selva, at about a 1000ft  Aaron felt the engine lay over and he shut it down just edging out Anthony for the win.

Tyronnes first round was not to be as even a huge hole shot could not save him as Nino Cavallo dr0ve around him as his engine laid over and he shut it off only to see Nino go 6.99 seconds.

On returning to the pits it was evident that the engines were both damaged with a fuel issue being the likely cause as at that stage six other teams had engine damage. By the end of the meeting the number of damaged motors went to eleven.

Aaron was still in the field and had a bye=run, out comes the spare, the team have 1 hr to turn it around. The team would like to thank John Barbagallo and Phil for their help otherwise we wouldn’t have made it.  The engine had not been in this car before so mods had to be done to the front and back engine plates as well as the hood scoop. The team pulled it off and lined up for the bye, accepting the tree and returning to the pits for final adjustments.

Round three Aaron is against champ Jason Grima, Jason has issue on the line and shuts down. Aaron stages and runs a 7.06 secs pass and secures lane choice.

Round 4 Aaron is against Emilio Spinizzo, Emilio is ecstatic this is his first final.  Aaron gets the start line advantage and runs an impressive 7.o11 on the spare engine.

Aaron now has a reasonable lead in the championship and the team are more than happy for the win, what an eventful day.

With their best engines damaged and only four weeks to the Winternationals the team are devastated because it will be a miracle to be able to get parts in time to repair them and be able to compete at the Winternationals. A set back like this could see the championship advantage diminish for Aaron and Tyronne would be out with no engine.
