Adelaide Spring Nationals
Adelaide last year was a disaster for the pro cars with the track surface being that bad that the decision was made not to run so the meeting was forfeited. No doubt this led to a poor field for this event.
Once again the track surface was tricky with cars only going down the right lane in qualifing. Aaron first qualifier led to no 1 with a 7.11 sec pass with Tyronne shutting off at 1000ft still qualifying well in third spot but this would prove detrimental to his final qualifying position.
Second qualifier was in the left lane with both cars getting extremely loose an aborting the run. This put Tyronne in the bottom half of the field so he would have to run the left lane again.
Third qualifier Aaron runs a track record of 7.04 secs and Tyronne who has to run the left lane again qualifies in 6th spot losing lane choice for eliminations.
Eliminations
Round 1. Tyronne looses to Wayne Daley as he has to abort at a thousand foot
Aaron has a bye and runs an incredible 7.02 sec pass at over 195mph new track record for speed and et
Semi finals. Aaron runs Jason Grima . A win to Aaron
Finals. Aaron is up against mate Shane Tucker. Shane runs a great 7.05 pass and Aaron's car gets loose half track but he takes the win on a holeshot.
