Winternationals
The Winters is regarded as the event of the year, it is every racers dream to win a Winternationals Gold Christmas tree.
Well if the Winter Warm ups a week before had any thing to do with it we were a bit worried about taking the coverted gold tree home.
Qualifying at the Winters is always tense, with teams always stepping up during the four rounds making it hard to know who will collect that top qualifier medallion.
Tyronnes qualifying runs
- Round 1: 7.06 at 195.00
- Round 2: 7.110 at 195.44
- Round 3: 7.012 at 191.73
- Round 4: 7.004 at 195.79
Aarons qualifying runs
- Round 1: 7.035 at 194.69
- Round 2: 7.030 at 195.71
- Round 3: 7.020 at 195.42
- Round 4: 7.008 at 195.62
How equal are these cars and at last they are performing like they should we are ecstatic with the times . Tyronne with a 7.004 only good enough for 5th spot and Aaron sitting in 6th with a 7.008. Pro Stock is ridiculous
Eliminations Round 1
Tyronne is first out and has to run Ian Brown, Ian has run his personal best in qualifying a 7.051 at 195.59 so he has the power and set up to beat Tyronne. Ian goes red and runs a 7.193 at 192.00, Tyronne takes the win (with how close can you go a six second pass) 7.002 at 195.59
Aaron is next and has to run fellow Queenslander Dennis Whiting, this is the third Winters in a row they have run each other. Dennis has qualified with a 7.048 and is the current National speed record holder so Aaron has to be on his game. Aaron takes the win with a good 7.014 at 195.51 while Dennis goes 7.071 at 193.74
The rest of the Winters was cancelled as rain came in again, next race for the Tremaniac’s will be the nationals at Sydney Dragway in November See you there.
